TECHNOLOGY ECOLOGY SACRED
“we need a new sacred to reconnect the world together”
- Manthia Diawara and Terri Geis
The Synthetic Sacred is both a provocation and an attempt to forge sustainable narratives and practices.
Weaving together posthuman, new materialist and Indigenous knowledge systems, the Synthetic Sacred explores the sacred experience as a means to heal fractured relations with nature, and as a form of resistance to capitalist-colonialist extraction.
I offer the notion of the synthetic sacred as a framework with which to guide and detoxify our synthetic creations, ensuring all ecologies flourish.
